How hot is the real estate market in Duval County? Home prices rise to reach $305K
The median sales price for a single-family home in Duval County during December was $305,000. That’s an increase of 25.5% compared with December 2020, according to a USA TODAY Network localized analysis generated with data from Realtor.com.
On a year-over-year basis, prices have been rising for 56 consecutive months. December’s median sale price represents an all-time record in a database that covers 84 consecutive months. December prices are up from $290,000 the previous month.
The number of houses sold fell by 12.2% from a year earlier. A total of 990 houses were sold countywide during the month of December. During the same period a year earlier, 1,128 single-family homes were sold.

Condominiums and townhomes sold in December had a median sales price of $202,500. That figure represents a 30.6% increase year over year. In Duval County, 210 were sold, up 26.5% from a year earlier.

The top 10% of the properties sold had prices of at least $560,700, up 27.4% from a year before.
In December, 33 properties sold for $1 million or more: 30 single-family homes, one condominium or townhome and two other properties.
