Stained Coffee Table & An Update!

This 3rd times the appeal, stained coffee desk is a favorite…but at times even now time for a alter!

I imagined I’d revisit an aged makeover that I just like! One of my favorites really.
This coastal-design espresso table makeover…

…that was how it commenced.

I’m sharing it simply because I’ve made the decision to adjust it out for an ottoman. (scroll down to see it)

Stained Coffee Desk

But very first, let us have a small refresh of this desk.
I made the decision to eliminate the complete from the top rated and refinish it so I wouldn’t paint about people very inlays.

This was an previous bottle of Citristrip when it really made use of to operate genuinely perfectly.
I don’t use it any longer. They changed the components and it just does not do the job the way it employed to.

Anyway, off came that end to reveal that beautiful wood underneath.

I assumed I wanted to stain it this color… (h2o-based stain)

NOPE! I immediately wiped that back again off.

Then I considered I’d whitewash it…

Nope! Ha! I did not like that both. Off came that as nicely.

I permit it dry overnight and made the decision to go with oil-based mostly stain in its place.
I utilised a pre-stain first, then Antique Walnut, wiping back again well, then Basic Gray in excess of that, also wiping back.

And WOW, it came out the perfect shade!

I painted the base white with a bit of distressing.

In other news, I experienced a distinctive visitor currently! (Weds) Christy from Confessions of a Serial DIYer!! Woohoo!
