LA CROSSE — Nearly 460 property La Crosse property owners who have received letters with the shocking news that they were delinquent in paying real estate taxes can breathe a sigh of relief.

The 459 letters, sent from the City Treasurer’s Office on Wednesday, were the result of a mistake.

“The Treasurer’s Office extends our deepest apologies for any issues this may have caused,” the message says.
